Investigations 002
Created in 2025, Investigations 02 expands upon the body’s subjection to disease through the personification of anatomical "helpers" seeking reprieve and resolution. In this series, Riley synthesizes her affinity for found objects, wood, printmaking, and collage into complex multimedia assemblages. These works utilize the metaphor of discarded fragments finding collective purpose to mirror her own journey through healthcare—a process of solving the "mystery" of chronic illness through accidental discoveries and found solutions.
